Makuta Teridax

“I am destruction. And I WILL destroy you.”

Makuta Teridax was one of the first “big” LEGO sets that I remember getting as a kid. This model is only loosely based on that one, of course, but I’ve wanted to make my own version of him ever since then. I’ve always thought that the kanohi Kraakhan mask is intimidating, so I just had to make something to match that energy.

As for the weapon: Teridax’s staff is nicknamed the Kohlii Staff of Darkness, after the game of Kohlii he plays against Takanuva for the fate of Mata Nui. I wanted to take that literally and give him a super-sized Kohlii staff as a weapon, so that’s what he wields now: a literal Kohlii Staff of Darkness, modeled after the Kohlii staves that came with the old Matoran sets.
