Mighty Toa of the Lego Universe

For this contest, I’ve mixed up all six of the original Toa Mata with other classic Lego themes, as a celebration not just of Bionicle, but several others of my favourite themes for the 90th anniversary.

First we have Tahu, representing Ninjago. He’s got a lot of bulky samurai-like armour, back mounted flags and of course lots of intricate golden detailing.

Gali is representing Aquazone, and as such features plenty of yellow and some spinning turbines.

Kopaka’s design was inspired by Ice Planet 2002, sporting the theme’s unique colour scheme.

Onua represents Power Miners, covered in their vibrant colours and featuring some of the theme’s most recognisable features, like the huge spiked wheels and orange hoses.

Lewa is representing Forestmen, wearing their classic brown cap with red plume.

Finally, Pohatu represents Western, with his detailed attire and huge cowboy hat.
