Nature: Walking Carnivorous Plant
This Walking Carnivorous Plant can uproot itself and hunt for prey! Secretly developed in a space lab on a distant world, this genetically engineered plant is one of many that roam the planet's surface in search of anything edible that can fit into their "mouths". It's the perfect solution for large-scale planetary pest control (in unpopulated areas of course).
I had a lot fun designing this Walking Carnivorous Plant, and I faced many enjoyable challenges while building it. The biggest challenge for me was to connect it to the base at an interesting angle, which I solved by using a "minifigure handle bar" as a connector (please see image 4). Another major challenge for me was to pose it in such a way that it would look interesting when viewed from four different angles (front, left, right, and top/front). The rocky base was built using the "Studs Not On Top" method.
Thanks for checking out my nature build! I did my best to make it a fun and creative display. I hope you enjoyed it!
