Hogwarts: The Golden Snitch

The golden snitch from Harry Potter is the end of each quidditch match, and is also a object that Harry accidentally swallows at his first year at Hogwarts. Before snitches were invented, a little bird called a sniget was used, until their numbers dwindled, but then Bowman Wright created the first snitch, which was designed to fly around like a real sniget, and is still used today.
