Hogwarts: Wizard Chess

This is a model of the giant wizard chess that Harry, Ron and Hermione encounter in The Philosopher's Stone. They have to play their way across it to reach the stone. The model consists 2220 bricks. I had to alter the bishop a bit due to the fact that religious symbols are not allowed. As a result, I gave the piece a halberd instead of a staff. Also, none of the pieces contains an entire minifigure, just parts of it. The chess set is playable and the pieces are about as large as regular chess pieces would be, so this model is fit both for decoration and playing.
