Hogwarts: The Arrival of Beauxbatons Academy of Magic

Beauxbatons Academy of Magic is one of the three wizarding schools that compete in the Triwizard Tournament. In “The Goblet of Fire”, select students and the headmistress arrive via a large powder blue carriage pulled by flying horses. 

Stop…you had me at “powder blue.” To me powder blue + French = Baroque. I wanted the carriage to scream French Baroque Architecture so it has gold accents galore! I was able to include pull out gold steps which were described in the novel (the carriage lands and and a boy pulls out a set of golden steps for Madame Maxime, the headmistress.) 

Whether or not you are a fan of the HP universe, I hope you enjoy this Beauxbatons Carriage MOC…I certainly enjoyed creating it!  Build on!
