Creatures: Demiguise

The Demiguise is a creature from Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them who has powers to see the most likely future and to turn invisible. For my entry, I wanted to capture the uniqueness and magic displayed by this creature. In my model, he is displayed in the scene from the movie where he is gathering objects from the Christmas display at a store to bring to an occamy who he is ‘babysitting’. The model includes ornaments, bits of a wreath, and the purse that the Demiguise carries. The Demiguise itself is shown seeing into the future with glowing blue eyes, and turning invisible from its middle to the end of its tail. I tried to use as many techniques as I could to build this model. I used a lot of different pieces to build the ‘fur’ and interesting techniques to give it both visual and physical textures.

This Demiguise model has over 700 pieces including the ornaments and the wreath bits.
