The Whydah Galley: Authentic Pirate Ship Model

Under the command of ‘Black Sam’ Bellamy, the Whydah Galley was a fully rigged ship transformed into a real pirate ship during the Golden Age of Piracy. The model shown in the pictures attached show the ammunition a pirate ship would hold, the accurate dimensions of a ship built in its time, and the small details inside the hold that depict what the daily life of a pirate was. Free from the tyrannical government, Bellamy’s crew named themselves ‘Robin Hood’s Men’, so called because of their exciting parties and actions to steal from the rich and give to the poor. While I don’t have enough minifigures to represent the 180 people sailing the ship, I hope anyone will still recognize and appreciate the level of detail added to recreate the shape and size of a truly magnificent pirate ship!
