Rainbow Music Box
When I was little, I watched the kids TV-show “Super Carla” on Danish television. It was already an old TV-show by then, made in the late 1960’s. The theme music for “Super Carla” was “She’s a Rainbow”!
The sound of the piano and harpsichord, combined with the recurring motif and the slight acceleration of the speed, gives the feel of an old music box. This is why I chose to make my build with a music box as the base. When you turn the handle, the girl in the song is twirling on the musical rainbow coming out of the music box. She is playing the violin, another prominent instrument in the colourful swirls of the arrangement.
Like the song my LEGO-rainbow is going everywhere, not sticking to conventions about what a rainbow should look like. The bricks are built going in every direction, both to fit my idea of a rainbow-swirl and to go with the unconventional notes of the song. So do a little pirouette of your own and dance around to “She’s a Rainbow” with me and my music box.
