ThunderCats Ultimate ThunderTank

ThunderCats still has one of the most energetic, exciting, well-animated and memorable intros of any cartoon, ever! As a child in the 80's, whenever Lion-O's clarion call could be heard on the on the TV, I would be right there, ready for the adventure!

First up in my project is the ThunderTank. At 1111 pieces, I've tried to capture the look and feel of this monster as it appears in the cartoon, fitting in as many features as possible. From the front to back:

Opening forehead panel with hidden cannon

Articulated claws with hidden cannons

Greebled front cockpit, seating 2

Opening cargo/passenger bay doors, seating 4

Fold-up triple-cannon

Hidden storage for Hoverboards, etc.

Concealed tyres with drive chain that helps drive treads

And of course, I've created 6 minifigures based on our eponymous heroes: Lion-O, Cheetara, Panthro, Tygra, Wilykat and Wilykit, all with a bunch of accessories that represent their equipment in the cartoon.
