The Princess Bride: The Greatest Swordfight of Modern Times

The Princess Bride is a film that needs no introduction. Anyone who's seen it (and let's be honest, who hasn't seen it?) will instantly recognize it from one of its many memorable lines of dialogue. The movie came out in 1987 and is one of the most classic films of not just the 80s but of all time. It is the quintessential fantasy-romance-action-comedy film, all wrapped up into one, and is a film that I have personally cherished since childhood.

For this build, I decided to recreate one of the movie's most iconic scenes, the one they call "the greatest swordfight of modern times." This diorama includes the iconic "Cliffs of Insanity," some ruined castle terrain, and even a little area for reenacting the famous "battle of wits." This build was made with nearly 600 bricks and includes 5 highly detailed minifigures. It took me a while to build it, but I'm really happy with how it turned out.
