Luxo Jr. (Working Lamp)

In 1986 Pixar released their short film Luxo Jr. which would be the first computer animated film to be nominated for an Oscar. The film follows the lamp Luxo Jr. that is playing with a ball by pushing it around and jumping on it.

Since then, Luxo Jr. was placed in Pixar's logo at the start of every feature length Pixar movie. Even the ball featured in the short has made an appearance in every feature length Pixar film, though it is often hidden in the background.

As a Pixar fan I tried to accurately build Luxo Jr. and the ball, including all the little screws and springs found in the lamp. I also included a light brick which can be found in the lamp (image 6) so Luxo Jr. can actually function as a lamp!

I think this would make a great LEGO set because it looks great on display, it is not very big (248 pieces), it can function as what it represents, and it is recognizable by many generations of moviegoers.

Thank you for reading my description and I hope you like it :)
