ALF BrickHeadz
All the way from planet Melmac to your shelf. Remember ALF? He's back! In Lego form!
This is a BrickHeadz-style of model of 80's TV icon Gordon Shumway aka Alien Life Form aka ALF. With over 100 episodes, ALF combined science fiction with a traditional suburban sitcom to explore a number of deep themes like culture shock, the era's fear of nuclear war, and isolation, and combined them with uplifting messages about exploring your place in the world and the importance of found family.
I chose this as a model because, as a child of the 80's myself, this quirky puppet sitcom resonated a lot with what it felt like to be growing up in the era. Even when things were felt dark, there was always a line of hope and if ALF was a reminder of this as well as to not take things too seriously, and I think he'd make a great addition to any sci-fi fan's shelf (just make sure to keep him away from any cats!)
