Thundercats: Cats Lair

My main cartoon watching days were 1985-1990 and although there were many great ones, for me, Thundercats stood out.

Great stories with a moral to them, likeable heroes, interesting baddies and the obligatory chuckle at the end of the episode!

For this Cats lair build I tried to give the impression of a much taller build from the outside for display. On the reverse, more of a play set style interior featuring the control room, the room that holds the sword of omens, and the table where the thundercats make important decisions.

There is a small thunder tank build that can be stored under one of the cat's paws

Pushing the button behind the head of the cat's lair will cause the eyes to light up (see last image)!

The build is 44cm in height and is on plates measuring 48x32 studs.

I tried to make some minifigures of the main Thundercats adults. I would love to see these characters as well as wilykit and wilykat and faithful old snarf.
