Playing the Piano Scene From Big
There are a couple of movies where everybody remembers the same scene when you talk about it with someone. Big (1988) is one of those movies. The Piano Scene is such a perfect scene because it fits so well in the narrative and the characters. Moreover, the photography and set design are also remarkable, making it fun to build with Lego bricks.
I am now a big person (an adult), who works as a digital product designer, I play creating mocs as a way to connect with my inner child, helping me to disconnect from the adult world and boosting my creativity. There is something poetic about Josh Baskin working in a toy company and creating a Lego idea out of it.
I created a custom torso and face prints for Josh Baskin and a custom torso print for Mr. MacMillan based on the cloaths they wore during the scene. It was a fun moment when I realized the Native American pattern on Josh's T-shirt and translated it to Lego referring to old Lego's Indian Chief.
I hope you like it.
