E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial - Bicycle Scene Model
E.T. (the extra-terrestrial) was released in 1982 and was immediately a smash hit, becoming the highest grossing film of all time!
E.T. tells the story of a little boy (Elliott) who befriends an extra-terrestrial who is left behind on earth. Along with his friends and family, Elliott must find a way to help E.T. find his way home. When I saw this challenge, I knew immediately what I would submit. I decided to build a model capturing the films climactic bicycle scene. In this scene, E.T. sits in the bicycle basket and uses his telekinesis to lift the bicycle into the air to evade capture.
When I was little, I always found E.T to be a little scary so I’ve tried to make him more 'cartoony' and friendly-looking so that he appeals to a younger audience.
The model is 1164 pieces and measures 27.9cm wide, 15.2 cm long and 26.9 tall.
I hope you like it 😊
