Garfield: 80s Title Card

One of the most enduring comic strips and tv shows of all time, starring the tubby tabby himself, is the beloved character Garfield. Erring its first panel on June 19, 1978, this comic quickly became a go to read in many newspaper's "funnies" section. Later, in an attempt to reach a bigger audience, the show Garfield and Friends was launched, and it instantly became a culturally iconic show. Throughout the 1980s, Garfield exploded in popularity and began to sell other merchandise featuring the fat cat. This poster shows an iconic image from Garfield's history, which is the common title card or "logo box" used on almost every Sunday strip in the 80s. Consisting of 800 parts and measuring 17" x 8.8", this poster will bring back good memories of a golden era in Garfield's past.
