A Trip or Should I Say a “Bike” Down Memory Lane
To me family is everything. After thinking about the prompt one specific memory came to mind. The memory of me learning how to ride a bike. To this day I remember it so clearly. I was petrified. And perfectly happy with my training wheels but my parents pushed me to give it a try. They practiced with me and my brother. I remember when my dad was holding the back of my bike as I pedaled and I kept repeating “don’t let go”. As I went farther and farther I realized me dad had in fact let go but I was doing it. I was riding a bike.
Like learning to ride a bike family isn’t always easy. It’s got ups and downs but at the end of the day family is always there for you. To pick you up when you fall down, help you find balance, and go to great heights.
So maybe my whole analogy thing is a little cheesy but I decided to build a bicycle to represent what family means to me. Life’s a challenge and the road is long but family is like our training wheels. They support us along the way.
