Family Mailbox
📬
Family is about building connections with people you care about and one way my family maintains these connections is through the mail. Photos, cards, presents, and more are shared with each other through the mail. Even with technological advancements that have made communication faster and easier, there is nothing quite like receiving a handwritten note of encouragement from your parents or a card from your grandma.
Since the mail is what connects my family together, I wanted to represent this connection by building a mailbox. My build is made up of 700 pieces and comes with three brick-built letters that can be put inside the mailbox. Handwritten mail can also be placed inside. The door can open up and the red flag can be raised to indicate that there is mail. The exterior design was inspired by my family’s favorite color and our love of space.
I hope my build reminds you of your own memories of receiving special mail from family. Thank you for taking a look at my entry!
