BASE: Off Planet Botanical Research Module

To make a living environment for humans long term, the interplanetary space agency knew plants are crucial for food and for long term human wellbeing, plus help in cleaning the air in sealed off-planet modules like this one.

So they established off-planet Botanical Research Modules to see how different planets would affect our Earth-based plants. How will the light, gravity, even the air and other planetary conditions, affect our plant species?

In this module you’ll see the researcher using state of the art equipment and hydroponic systems to grow and experiment with Earth plants. Outside this sealed module are the native life that has developed very differently.

The actual build is designed to open up to access inside like a clamshell. There is a an umbrella used as a hatch door. Various parts are used for plant life including hair, tails, sausages, hats, feathers. The equipment on the back uses a pen and a book for mechanical details, among others. And snowboard used as a step.
