Parallelogram Tessellation: Pattern of Ducks and Fish
This art challenge submission features a three-dimensional tessellation
of ducks and fish. This tessellation is created using two parallelograms
which are then repeatedly placed next to each other. The tessellation is mounted on
top of a blue base plate and the parallelograms on the top, bottom, further left,
and furthest right sides are hinged to provide an extra dimension of depth.
The individual parallelograms are included on the top-right
and bottom-left. Notice that each parallelogram contains components of both the
duck and fish. Neither the duck nor the fish designs is contained solely within
a single parallelogram. All four sides of each parallelogram contribute to the
design of the connected pieces.
Dimensions are 40 x 60 studs and roughly 3.5 bricks tall.
