The Gawk-gan - A Prehistoric pipe organ
The latest adition to the Bedrock Filharmonics Orchestra - The Gawk-gan - is the biggest, finest and most complicated instrument ever constructed. The keys are tied to the tails of seven exotic birds and one young elephant through an intricate system of pulleys. When pressed, each key pulls the tail of one of the birds and makes it "gaaawk" at it's precisely tuned pitch. The elephant supplies the lowest bass tones, which no bird could reach, completing the Gawk-gan's amazing range of tones. The instrument is made of a single piece of fine gabbro rock and is topped by a massive slate sheet which amplifies the birds' voices and makes them carry far and wide. The setup is brought to perfection by the luxurious stool which is fully adjustable in all directions - all one has to do is to ask the turtle nicely.
