Open-air cinema
The idea of this entry came to me when I saw the cinema in The
Flintstones universe and I thought how would that really be possible in real
life. So, that’s when I decided to go for a wheel where the film is located and
which spins in order for the images to be displayed, getting a bit inspired by
stop motion animation.
I created a mock to give a clearer understanding of all the
items created and their fit into this universe.
This set was created with approximately 12300 pieces.
The roof tiles were used to recreate all the rough cut stone
and the round tiles were used to represent all the areas worn out due to
excessive movement.
The grass is built with 1x1 round plates on their side.
The reason all the
people are standing up is because the scene in the film is very emotional and
heart stopping (not because I couldn’t placed them in a sitting position with
the clothing they were wearing). The characters are not critical to the scene, but they add a nice touch to it.
