Brick Symphony
A symphony can only be made through the presence of several instruments- and the same goes for this entry. The pieces shown are to represent several types of music - Classical (piano and violin), Rock (electric guitar and drums), Jazz (Saxophone), and Acapella (microphone). Because the model works around the instruments listed, I constructed a pedestal with a shaft running through it to turn the peices, as shown in the GIF below. The other 2 models, a diner jukebox and a gramophone, were carefully built to include even the details - the lights, buttons, grating, and glass on the jukebox, and a lifting and rotating needle, rotating record, and curved horn on the gramophone. The model also features large, gradiating banner and notes, an interpretation of sheet music, and an orb and waves to represent the way sound is produced (specifically by modern speakers). I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed building it!
