The Orchestra of the Seven Seas
Welcome aboard the most melodious ship of the oceans, the Orchestra of the Seven C's! This magical vessel is constructed of instruments instead of normal parts, and is a combination of my passions for classical music and sailing.
Instead of a captain, this craft is piloted by a lone conductor. The ship travels endlessly throughout the Earth and has one simple goal: to bring music wherever it goes!
The orchestra includes:
- Trumpets and trombones (with extendable slides) for cannons,
- Flutes for masts,
- A clarinet for the bowsprit,
- Harps for sails,
- A lyre for the anchor,
- An organ for the quarter-deck,
- French horns for cabin furnishings,
Plus,
- A giant xylophone for the deck and hull!
In addition, there is even a sound brick that is triggered by pushing down on one of the xylophone keys! I imagine it playing an excerpt from Handel's Water Music, which was actually first performed on a barge.
