The da Vinci Orchestra
When I think to music the first thing that comes to my mind is creating. Music itself incarnate this concept, as well as almost all the things that I do when listening to music, from writing to programming, and of course, building with LEGO. So, I took this chance to make a tribute to one of the greatest creators of all time, Leonardo da Vinci.
This composition is a collection of almost all the musical instruments invented by da Vinci, plus a little bust just for fun. Below the list of all the instrument built, with the name in English and in Italian.
- Continuous Organ (Organo Continuo);
- Mechanical Drum (Tamburo Meccanico);
- Musical Can(n)on (Can(n)one Musicale);
- Organ-viola (Viola Organista);
- Glissato Flute (Flauto Glissato);
- Giant Trumpet (Tromba Gigante);
- Elastic Drum (Tamburo Elastico);
- Harpsi-viola (Clavi-viola);
- Continuous Piva (Piva Continua);
- Argent Lira (Lira d'Argento);
- Continuous Accordion (Organetto Continuo).
The model is built with a total of 2348 pieces, including the platforms.
Enjoy!
