Prince - the Symbol of Musicology
"Produced, arranged, composed and performed by Prince" - this phrase appeared on 39 ground-breaking albums between 1978 and 2016 and more following the Rock n' Roll Hall of Famer's untimely death. No single person defines music as much as Prince: Singer and multi-instrumentalist in the studio, and a live act like no other, putting on incredible high energy arena shows followed by spontaneous small club 'aftershows.'
This set represents Prince's unpronounceable symbol, which he used as an album title in 1992 before taking it on as his own name from 1993-2000. For the SuperBowl half-time show in 2007, he performed on a stage in this shape - and again during his record-breaking 21 Nights in London's O2 Arena, and 21 Nights in LA. The set can be displayed as a mantelpiece decoration, or laid down as a usable stage for a minifigure band.
The symbol is synonymous with Prince's understanding of his purpose and inspiring others to follow their own. What could better symbolize music or LEGO?
