Minimoog
The legendary synthesizer by Moog!
In the 1960s, Robert Moog's iconic company introduced the world to electronic sounds through their custom modular synthesis. In 1971, Moog introduced a more affordable, portable and accessible instrument to sell to a wider audience.
They called it the "Minimoog". This small, yet formidable synthesizer packed a huge punch with three oscillators and all the bells and whistles that we have come to expect from modern synthesizers, such as pitch bend and modulation wheels.
Since then, the Minimoog became the go-to synthesizer for many of the greatest artists of the twentieth century, including Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, Stevie Wonder, Keith Emerson and Billy Joel. The instrument was reissued in 2016 by Moog as a homage to the longevity and legacy of this groundbreaking instrument.
Now, you can build your own LEGO model of this synthesizer and share in the history and nostalgia of what has become one of the kings of musical instruments, the Minimoog.
