Sharkitar: The Return of the Guitar Heroes
This is a tribute to all the guitar heroes who have amazed us through the ages, with both their skill and their custom-built axes (I believe that is the correct term once you've reached the required levels of epicness).
I'm only a lowly drummer, so I'm not exactly sure what all the buttons do, but I have featured a few things I think you're likely to find on an actual guitar:
- pickup switch (top right of the main body, above the pickups)
- pickups x2
- volume control (the shark's eye)
- jack output (bottom left of the main body)
- tremolo/vibrato arm
- head with tuning pegs
- bridge
- functioning strap pegs (see pictures)
- strings (sort of)
- and the rest of the knobs (which actually rotate) can all be tone controls and effects. I dunno. It's custom so I guess anything's possible.
I like this build because I used only what I had on hand, and I ended up pretty happy with both the general look and the little details. The train tracks were a life-saver.
Rock on.
Rock on.
