Tribute to Synthwave

The 80s, rise of the synthesizer and electronic music. Where would we be today without it? My model pays tribute to this very influencial decade.

I picked up distinct design elements and the color scheme of the synthwave subgenre. The square grid pattern on the floor and wall  that reminds of early 3D computer visualizations like they have been used in early science fiction movies like Tron. The top sign lettering is inspired by 7 segment digital displays.  The DJ working the turntables loosely connects to Daft Punk. Eventhough that DJ-duo founded in 1993 they still transport a lot of the original synthwave spirit. The helmet with the slit visor also links to Robocop, a genre-defining master piece of science fiction. You cannot get more 80s than this!
