Medieval Music Box

While thinking about the musical theme, I decided I wanted to create something functional, so my mind went to those music boxes with dancing characters. I couldn't get it to make actual music, so I focused on the dancing feature, since you can't dance without music I think it is still very appropriate. I began by focusing on the dancing function, the characters move in a circle, go up and down, and the stands they are on rotate to simulate a dance. After designing the box I decided on a medieval theme, because most of the minifigures I have that are consistently themed are either from the knights theme or a licensed theme. I decorated it with a tree, stream (which the dancers will jump over), a castle balcony, a dining table, and a ballroom.
