We Will Rock You! - Queen, Live Aid 1985
Music has the power to bring people together, and not many events brought continents and people together quite like Live Aid on the 13th of July 1985 with one of the most memorable performances by Queen.
Recenty immortalised in the film Bohemian Rhapsody the preformance now transcends generations too, inspiring young and old alike to clap their hands and stomp their feet.
The event was held simultaneously at Wembley Stadium in London and John F. Kennedy Stadium in Philadelphia, and was watched live by an estimated 1.9 billion people in 150 countries. At Wembley the event consisted of a large stage flanked by canvas walls displaying the Live Aid logo, with performances by David Bowie and U2, but it was Queens performances that was voted the greatest live performance in the history of rock in 2005, cementing it's place as a legendary performance.
Although I wasn't alive to see the performance in 1985, after watching recordings and the film I'd do anything to be able to experience it live.
