The Great Race

On a deserted moon of a far off planet, Emperor Alpha Draconis sits on his throne. It time for his 90th annual Space Race, and this time three contestants are racing. Blacktron has entered a ship from its Hornet Class known for speed and maneuverability. Ice Planet has entered a new ship called the Northe Storme which has tremendous power. Finally, an ADU deserter has come from earth, and is driving an upgraded ADU fighter called the Lancer. Who will win this deadly race?

For my entry, I wanted to combine four distinctly different subthemes of Space, and make a race where they all overlap. Alpha Draconis is from the 1996-1999 subtheme called UFO. Blacktron is one of the most memorable subthemes that lasted from 1987-1990. Ice Planet was a theme that lasted from 1993-1994. Finally, the ADU is from Alien Conquest, a more recent theme from 2011. In this contest, I modernized all of these themes and put new twists on beloved classics. I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed making it.
