Neo-Exploriens Archeobserver
The Exploriens of 1996 have returned!! In modern times, they are still exploring the layers of many planets. The Archeobserver spacecraft hovers over the surface of planets, in search of undiscovered cosmic fossils. The left wing can flip around to reveal two modes: scanning and laser drilling. The Archeobserver is much faster and more efficient at finding fossils than a rover.
For this build, I wanted to challenge myself by utilizing the Vidiyo beatbox piece of today into the older classic space theme for this contest. Unfortunately, I only had the back half in lime green, and there aren't any classic space themes that use this color in their color scheme. I improvised by adding elements from the Exploriens sub-theme and adding that this is the newer version of the Exploriens, hence the "Neo" prefix. I wanted to create an interesting look by making the spaceship asymmetrical, while still having a functional story. Please enjoy my concept!!
