With the Galaxy Explorer Transport Ship you can supply any planet, whether the planet needs an expansion of its space base or a new space ship. With the crane spaceship you can lift the supplies out of the hold and when you're done you can close the doors and put the crane back on the transport ship and fly back into space to supply the next planet.
