Winter Village Reindeer Stable
In Clement C. Moore's poem The Night before Christmas, Santa Claus rides a sleigh which is pulled by "eight tiny reindeer." Santa's reindeer have the ability to fly from rooftop to rooftop. Of course when the reindeer are not working, they need a place to stay.
The modest stable which I created can house up to two reindeer. There are gates in the front and a door on the side for Santa's elves to enter. The stable is decorated with candy canes, a star and colored lights to maintain the holiday spirit all year long.
I chose to build this model because I love building snowy winter sets. To me there is something calm and reassuring when the world is quietly covered with a blanket of soft, white snow. I also like seeing the ways that other people have constructed winter villages and I think many people would like to include a reindeer stable in their own village.
