Photo Studio + Dark Room
…with a large, old-style, film-based camera on a tripod to ‘capture’ the photographs with.
Frame a subject in the dedicated space on one side of the model (using either the cushioned seat or rotatable plate for posing options), then visit the appropriately red-tinted dark room on the other side to play out a compact form of the developing process.
- Review film negatives (four available; which are stored in the draws, with a magnifying glass and scissors).
- Develop the images with chemicals* (the 3x2 pieces sit neatly in the trays).
- ‘Peg’ them up to dry.
The posing space’s shelf holds a trophy, plant, and photo frame. A mouse likes to hide under the dark room table, saying what she’s eating — "Cheese!", to which the photographer keeps saying “Wrong place, Mouse. You can smile for the camera over there!”.
*The colours are not representative of actual treatment chemicals; they’re just to distinguish the trays. Prints/stickers will be needed for the photographs on the photo paper.
