In the future so much is different. So many problems solved. So many new ones to tackle. But humanity persists and one thing that has not yet changed is this; humans like to go fast.

Propulsion technology is more efficient and affordable than ever, as is 3D printing and nano tech, so why wouldn't you build your own space racer in your garage? It's a present to myself for my midlife crisis.
