Mount Olympus

I have always loved stories of Greek Myths and Legends. As a child I had so many books showing the Greek gods, Heroes and Monsters that built the ancient myths and even now I enjoy reading about them and seeing them in movies.

I was a guest at the Irish Discworld convention in October 2023 and ran a few LEGO workshops with convention goers. One of the attendees was a young boy who loved LEGO, and when I was talking to him, he said that he also loved Greek Myths and Legends. I designed a Poseidon figure for him when I got home from the convention and sent the parts and instructions for him to build. the idea of LEGO based around Greek Myths has stuck with me which is why I designed my challenge entry around the theme.

There are 203 parts creating my version of Mount Olympus, with the peacefulness of the front imagery contrasted with the vengeful lightning bolts being sent from Zeus at the back.
