Wishes of Japan (Nihon No Negai)
This set brings together five traditional Japanese life elements around wishes:
Omamori- Protective amulets purchased from shrines, believed to bring good luck and ward off evil.
Ema- Votive plaques made of wood where individuals inscribe wishes or prayers, hanging at shrines for the gods to receive.
Metal Furin- Wind chimes that feature intricate traditional patterns, acting as a soothing presence in gardens and temples.
Kinchaku- Traditional Japanese drawstring bags, often used for carrying omamori and ema at shrines, matching with kimono for aesthetic harmony.
Teruteru Bouzu- Handmade dolls that are hung in sunny spots as a hopeful gesture for clear skies and sunshine.
Each element tells a story, weaving together a tapestry of hope, protection, and serenity that defines the Japanese cultural landscape.
*Omamori and Ema can be customised with LEGO DOTS
*The first three items are at scale, whilst the last two are scaled down to miniaturised size due to piece number constraints.
