A Splash of Color
Apologies for the late entry, it took me some time to figure out that graphic design is not my calling, haha. I was inspired for this piece by the often melancholy nature of the 9-5 working experience and how easy it can be to get lost in the greyness of day-to-day life. In my own life, LEGO provides that splash of color, and I wanted to illustrate that with a greyscale build of an urban street corner with a colorful splash of LEGO. The build includes exactly 250 bricks by sheer coincidence, a missing cat, three cans of spray paint, and two minifigures: A businessman in greyscale with a double-sided face, one gruff and one with a slight smile and a very colorful graffiti artist with a backpack, a mask and a hood. The building has an HVAC unit, a trash can, and a computer. The exterior has a graffiti wall, a boarded-up window, and a missing cat poster. Possible stickers could be a computer monitor, a door sign, a trash can lid, two walk signs, and two street signs in greyscale. Thanks!
