Life in the Cambrian
A little diorama depicting the some of the bizarre lifeforms found in the Burgess Shale during the Cambrian period~
From the Tiny and abundant Burgessia crawling along the sea floor...
To the bizarre Hallucigenia that puzzled scientists regarding how its fossil should be oriented...
And finally Anomalocaris. The star of the show, a formidable apex predator of this vibrant ancient sea.
I even try to capture its round disk like mouth lined with teeth that its group is named after - Radiodondta.
I love the animals of the Cambrian period, and I hope that I can share this appreciation with others in the form of this GWP~ So others can have a piece of this weird ecosystem for display!
