Endless Possibilities

Who would have thought that we would one day be able to walk on the moon, or be able to see and communicate with someone on the other side of the planet through a handheld device?

This build is based on the phrase 'when pigs fly', and represents all of those seemingly impossible things have become a reality with the help of STEM. It uses a series of gears and axles to simulate the motion of a pig happily flying through the air. The video below shows a brick-built prototype of the model (unfortunately I didn't have any pink bricks) and demonstrates the flying motion as you turn the handle.

So with major advances in STEM and fields such as genetic engineering, will we ever see a pig fly? Absolutely - there's plenty of room in a plane. :)

Thank you for checking out my entry. Hopefully it gives a sense of joy but also makes you wonder 'what else might be possible?'
