Hyperbola Toy

This desktop toy demonstrates how a straigt rod moves through the curved hyperbola shapes when you rotate the handle. The offset rotating rod creates a geometric shape of a hyperboloid which fits to the hyperbola shapes. See the last picture for a visual illustration of this.
It's an intriguing toy for people interested in math, engineering or science gadgets. It could also be used for educational purposes.
