The most astronomically significant invention that has been completely changing society as a whole for the last 500 years is, of course, the Jack-in-the-box. You may be pondering the question - "Why is this children's toy so incredibly historically important?" Well, let me give you the answer in the simplest terms possible... "Yes."

This build is comprised of 241 total pieces. The mechanism is a simple crank and gear - you turn the crank, the crank turns the gears, the gears latch on to the gear rack, and the gear rack rises with the Jack that is attached to it. The lid of the box is attached with a loose hinge, so the top is easily pushed open by the Jack. It's colorful, fun, and looks quite nice with its simple design.
