Sewing Machine Invention Tribute

With this tribute I want to pay homage to 3 inventors who in my opinion played a fundamental role in the development of the sewing machine as we know it today.

The first is Thomas Saint, an English inventor who designed the first sewing machine in 1790 and registered its patent. However, there is no evidence that he actually built it.

43 years later mechanical engineer Walter Hunt developed the first modern and viable operational sewing machine. However, for fear that his invention could create unemployment, he filed the patent only in 1853. Unfortunately, despite the public recognition of the invention, he never got the patent.

This was instead granted to Elias Howe who obtained the legal rights to the invention with the approval of the patent on September 10, 1846.

As you can see, the history of the sewing machine is full of twists and turns and deserves to be remembered.

The project consists of 242 pieces plus the minifigures of the 3 inventors. I hope you like it!
