The Bunsen Burner

Instantly recognisable around the world, and an iconic piece of laboratory equipment, the Bunsen burner is still used in classrooms and universities around the world.

The design used today was pioneered by Robert Bunsen in the 1850's. It is used across multiple fields of science from chemistry to microbiology.

This design has a gas supply which is connected to the Bunsen burner by a hose. The Bunsen is two tone, with a heavy blue base plate. The collar is design to rotate by hand - ideally showing light grey or (via a sticker in a final build) black to show it is open (It is currently set to open in the build shown). The gas control valve on the Bunsen when turned will rotate the flame via an simple internal mechanism.

A Robert Bunsen micro figure with chemistry conical flask will accompany the set.

It is made of approx. 215 pieces.
