Vintage Movie Camera
Of all the engineering advancements of the last 200 years, few are as iconic as the movie camera. Although the science of capturing a sequence of images on film came about in the 19th century, it was the technological developments in the early 20th century that led to the popularity of what one critic called “the sixth art”. The silhouette of a vintage hand-cranked film camera is instantly recognisable to this day as a symbol of the movies.
This 246-piece model features a hand crank that turns the reels, with a Technic chain between them representing the film moving through the camera. The lens mount contains three lenses that can be rotated into position. The lens hood can be moved forward and back on its rails. As well as being a fun build, the model is great for both play and display.
