Steam Engine
This is a little horizontal steam engine, which you might as well call a STEaM Engine! It touches on several disciplines, from thermodynamics, physics, mechanics, engineering, to history of technology.
The model features moving piston and sliding valve, which are both operated via a crank and pushrod mechanism. The movement of the two is offset by 90 degrees, as it should be. I included a little speed governor that is driven from a gear train.
I've built this model from around 160 bricks from table scratch. If this really becomes a GWP, I'd love to see it in a green color scheme.

Mr_Kleinstein
By the way, many modern power plants still involve steam engines, in the shape of turbines!
