Crush on Lake Pinehurst

Every summer my family and I go on vacation to my grandparents’ lake house in North Carolina for a week. When my grandparents purchased the house, they inherited an old, beat up pontoon boat. My grandpa got his creative juices flowing & transformed it into a big floating turtle and named it “Crush on Lake Pinehurst.” Every year there is a 4th of July boat parade where we dress Crush up as historical figures. In the past Crush has portrayed Abraham Lincoln,  Betsy Ross, an Army soldier and many other famous Americans. Crush is a symbol of the fun memories I have from our vacations, like riding around on the boat and swimming in the lake with my siblings. What a fun project it was to remake Crush out of my favorite medium, LEGOs.
